Chess

While my son was growing up I taught him the game of playing chess, now that he is a young man in his own right I find myself communicating with him and using the analogy of this game called chess even in my own christian walk to grow further in GODS Wisdom.

You begin the game with your pawns, rooks, bishops, knights, queen and your king; normally in the order just described is there significance of value. The object for winning is to checkmate the king, which is to corner him in such that he has nowhere to move thus having the opponents’ king in checkmate.

William consider/prayerfully all your decisions before acting on it. The enemy only comes to rob, kill and destroy such as taking your prize possession JESUS/The King of Kings. You must grow in Christ JESUS if you are to find safety from your opponent in this life (satan). We were all just beginners at one time, but to get much more better we have to learn all the steps so that we may be much more knowledgeable. Paul said it best in the book of Romans 3:23-24 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

During the game of chess, if one doesn’t consider the ramifications of his or her move there will be consequences to be paid whether good or bad and we all should seek for the good in our lives. In this game to be victorious you will have to sacrifice pieces to obtain the end result, Victory. Here comes that parallel with our own Christian Life, we must sometimes make sacrifices if we desire to grow in GODS Holy Plan for our lives that requires careful decisions that we make. Be obedient and he will direct thy path to go and then and only then will your end result be Victorious.

I just heard a sermon from our pastor from the book of Mathew 28:16-20, Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. - And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. - And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

After hearing the sermon comining from GODS Holy Throne I now realize that after all those years of playing chess with my son we were missing one piece, the DISCIPLE. Go and tell someone else how you made it over!!!

I have played chess before but I never put a spritual connection to it. It is good that you use every thing that God shows you to teach your son.

I am sure that he will make wise decisions given that he comes from good Godly stock. You stay focused and prayful brother.

Let's get together for breakfast sometime soon, David as well.

What An Anointed Post. Chess is an amateur game when it comes to living a life for Christ. The ominpresence of God is foever making moves in Vigitillion terms. It is a number that no man can count not even Mathmaticians. Living for Christ creates moves that could never be seen by man but only in the spirit of God. St.John 4:24
