"Expiration Date"

When going to the store we unconsciously take for granted that a majority of the food we buy is within the expiration date, we may consciously pay close attention to our milk expiration date. We know that some of the items maybe some what beyond the manufactures expiration date, it will normally be on sale because usually it is not as affective or it is about to go beyond the expiration date.

GOD has an expiration date and it is when he knocks at our door/heart, by being obedient children we are to act upon his commandment right then or possibly miss out on our extra blessings by putting off his will until we are ready to act upon his command. The extra blessing can be found in the book of Psalm 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Look at the story in the Bible of the manna from Heaven, GOD supplied food from Heaven to the Hebrews when they were hungry, lost and wandering in the desert, the manna from Heaven was sufficient for that day, what did they do instead they put their own trust in storing the left over for tomorrow instead it spoiled, GOD is sufficient for today.

When GOD gives us an assignment, our labor begins right then and there and if we put if off until it is convenient for us to fit into our own schedule he may just take our assignment and bestow it to someone else that will act upon it right now, (his will must go forth) he is still blessing us but maybe not at the extent he would desire for you, I am so glad that we serve a GOD of a second chance because he will keep giving us chances only if we seek them. We all are being blessed daily, our blessing lies within the sun shining on us, the air we breathe and so on everything is his. The WORD states in the book of Psalm 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

By now you see that I have been blessed with using analogies of things we do in our everyday lives by relating them to our Christian Walk, I Thank GOD for this Gift. It was through my Pastors Spiritual Sensitivity that this Gift was birthed and I Thank Him for that and for leading/guiding me to a platform in which my Love for our Lord and Savior JESUS Christ can be expressed. Never judge a book/person by its cover.

"Act on it, before it expires."

WOW!! That was POWERFUL Bill. At first I was thinking that is a lot to read. Once I started reading I could not stop. Every word made me think and ponder. Your familiarity with the Bible is very impressive. I am only a child when it comes to the Bible. I had a late start in life as far as my salvation. But, you truly have a valid point when you state that we should be obedient to Gods’ calling when we hear it. We are trying every day to be obedient to every call he gives us (me and Jean). It’s not easy, it is a daily challenge and we have to work at it very hard. The words you used to express our service to God are encouraging and assist us with understanding what we need to be doing each and every day.

It’s nice to know that your talent was extracted by our Pastor. We are extremely Blessed when we consider the combination of our Church and Pastor. He is probably one of the few people I have met in my whole life that truly puts Jesus, Prayer and Church first in his life. That loyalty and dedication has not other road to take except to spread. To anyone he comes in contact with.

I thank you and brother Armstrong for your kind comments. You guys are a joy to pastor and I praise God every day for the privilege. This was a very motivating post. We must work the works of Him who sent us while it is day because the night is coming when no man can work.

Brother it never ceases to amaze me what God is up to in the life of a true believer. I want to first say that I get great joy out of reading your post and pleasure beyond measure in being your brother in chirst as well as your brother-in law.

I have watched you bloom under your pastor. I have watched you develop a passion for God's word that is unmatched my many men in the church.

Yes we all have an expiration date (Job 14:1), It is not how long we have, but what we do with the time we have. keep on letting the Lord use you in your home, your church, your job and in your community.

Praise God! As I read your post, I thought to myself that you are an awesome writer and analogist. Then as I got to the last paragraph I read that you already know this. It is such a blessing to be able to identify your gift, use it to His glory and to have someone else to help you to cultivate it. Praise God you have a pastor that is helping you to stir up the gift that God has given you. They aren't easy to come by.

I truly enjoyed this post. Please continue to do that which He has called you to do. God can use the foolish this of this world to confound the wise and the simple things of this world to make clear the mysteries of God. I bless God for giving you this gift and for Him allowing you to find this medium to share this gift.

Again, awesome post!

Hello Son, It never ceases to amaze me how we as Christians can tie in every aspect of our thought pattern, and we are able to relate it to the things of God. I love how God chooses to speak to us through many human experiences. Especially since we know His thoughts are so much higher than ours. He is an awesome God. I pray that I am fulfilling "my" assignment here on earth and it is completed before "my" Expiration Date. Great Post. Be blessed.

Hi... thank you so much for your kind encouraging comments. Truly the Lord is continously blessing me. I don't deserve to be so blessed but He does it anyhow. What an awesome God! I'll let you in on a little secret: I write about whatever I'm reading in the bible that day or whatever occurs that the Lord leads me to share and I'll relate it to the Word of God because I believe that all things are by God and without God does nothing happen.

I went through a period where I couldn't think of anything to write and then the Lord showed me
that I had plenty to write about. He gives me new mercieS everyday and that alone is a mouth full.

I know I can be a bit long winded at time so now my prayer is that God will teach me how to say even more to His glory in less words. That's one of the great things about your writtings. They are packed with wisdom and the Word of God and they are jsut the right length.

Oh yeah... this blogging thing has also helped me be more accoutable. I told the Lord I wanted to learn something new about Him and His Word everyday. (I'm greedy for the Word of God). In blogging, I'm able to look back and see how the Lord is teaching me and taking some of the same scriptures and showing me different ways they can be applied to my life. I try not to blog on the weekends but that means my Monday posts are a little longer. lol...

Blessings!
